Hearing loss will impact everyday conversations.

If your loss is:

  • MILD: You can hear most conversations but it may seem that some people mumble, especially if there is background noise.
  • MODERATE: You may strain to hear.
  • SEVERE: You may be unable to hear adequately in most conversations.
  • PROFOUND: You probably hear nothing unless someone shouts.

If you have problems hearing women or children or you have trouble hearing in noisy places, you should have your hearing checked. It is a quick, painless way to determine if a hearing loss is contributing to the difficulty you are having–or if the problem is really that some people do not speak plainly and clearly.

You may be surprised at the answer learned from the hearing check.
